American Hiking Adventures is dedicated to my family.  Its purpose is to share my experiences traveling and hiking this
great country of ours.  During each of my hikes and travels I have received great insight and
advice from previous hikers and travelers.  Nothing is more valuable to me that the thoughts of everyday people like me
who love spending time outdoors and who realize that our natural resources are a treasure that
are only entrusted to us to protect.
In these pages you will find pictures and accounts of my family's and my hikes and trips to areas like the Grand Canyon, Las
Vegas, Zion National Park, Death Valley, the Adirondacks and many others.  Since I am now considered to be middle-aged I
think those of you of a like age will enjoy the accounts.  At least that is my purpose putting this together.  I ask that you surf
through this website and enjoy the information located in it.  I have a lot of fun putting it together (and more will be added all the
time) and even more fun experiencing it.

Oh,a big hike is coming. Austin,Dave Vaughn and I will be hiking the Nankoweap Trail in the Grand Canyon over the Thursday/Friday before Easter. I attempted this hike solo last May and didn't make it. This time will be different. Wish us/me luck!
Only days until the
